Minneapolis Institute of Art
Art in Bloom Family Day Event is happening April 14th at 11AM, 11:45AM, and 12:30PM. Crafts and sidewalk chalk art are ongoing throughout the day!
Art in Bloom Family Day will take inspiration from the childrens’ book Dragons Love Tacos written by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri.
Join talented Twin Cities actors as they tell the tale of dragons cooking, eating, and hosting taco parties. Get your picture taken at a dragon taco party!make it Make your own dragon headband at the craft table using craft papers, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, fresh flowers, and more.
You can also take your kids to visit over 90,000 artworks. Mia’s collection includes art from six continents, spanning about 5,000 years.
Stages Theatre Company
Live performances are another way to enjoy the arts in the Twin Cities. There are so many amazing school performances and we highly encourage you to support your local schools’ theater program!

Stages also has introduced Theater for the Very Young, a participatory, multi-sensory theatre genre for children ages 18 months to 4 years (and their caregivers). Rock the Cradle
The Current’s annual Rock the Cradle event for kids and their grownups returns Sunday, March 24 to the Minneapolis Institute of Art/Children’s Theatre. Explore music, art and culture at this free, no-ticket-required event!
Enjoy annual favorites such as the Kids’ Disco and Pop Up Story Time with The Current’s DJs plus live music and more. Rock the Cradle is perfect for kids up to age 8.
